Standard waiver
- Excess liability: Standard excess liability is R15,000 - R20,000, depending on the vehicle class.
- Excess liability reduction : Standard excess liability can be reduced to R4,000 - R6,0000 by paying R20.00 to R40.00 per day, depending on the vehicle class.
Bond
A deposit (pre-authorisation) equivalent to the excess liability will be processed at the pickup time. The deposit will be released upon the safe return of the vehicle.
Cancellation policy
Once your relocation request is accepted, a cancellation fee applies at all times and will be charged to your credit card when you cancel, or do not show up for your booking. For cancellations made more than 48hrs ahead of pickup, a cancellation fee of R200 will be applied. Late cancellations (within 48 hours of pick-up time) will be charged R400, and no-shows will be charged R600. Cancellations must be made by logging into "My Transfercar" and selecting "Cancel trip" under the booking. Please be aware that the rental operator might have a separate cancellation fee beyond Transfercar's policy.
